Why is Twitter vital to Public Relations.
Twitter is an important contributor to the success of public relations because it enables a variety of subject areas to engage with their publics. It provides a two-way flow of communication between organisation and public and this is an important aspect of public relations in keeping open dialogue. Public Relations companies and organisations cooperate with a variety of clients from political organisations to celebrities. Twitter enables any personality to communicate openly with their audiences without stereotyping the site with any particular form of client. It is effective because it is accessible and the benefits of the site make twitter vital to public relations because it enables practitioners to utilise the growing internet audience.
